Let's be honest, living your values isn't always easy and straightforward.

We all have those moments that feel right - when we stand up for someone being treated unfairly, take the harder path because it's the right thing to do, or say no to an opportunity that would compromise what we believe in. These moments often stay with us, not because they were easy, but because they reflected who we truly are.

But let's be honest - living our values isn't always easy and straightforward. Maybe you value creativity, but your day is filled with so much that you “have to get done” that there is no room left for exploring your artistic side. Perhaps you believe in making a difference in your community, but your busy schedule has squeezed out time for volunteering. Or you might value deep conversations, yet find yourself maintaining relationships through quick social media interactions or text messages.

This gap between what we value and how we live isn't about failure - it's about awareness. Sometimes we inherit values from our family or culture without questioning if they truly resonate with us. Other times, we clearly know our values but haven't created the structures in our lives to honor them. It's like having a map to a life that fulfills us but never making time to see if we are on the right route.

Your invitation today is to explore the relationship between your values and the life you're actually living. Take some time to examine both your claimed values and your lived values.
